Politicians from opposition and within the African Nation
Congress say they are behind the minister and what NPA is doing is political
influences. The economic freedom fighters leader announces that they will shut
down all business around Pretoria in 02 November whereby the minister will be
appearing in court. Political observers believe that Zuma is the one
influencing the NPA as they have been fighting with Gordon. The minister
rejects the nuclear deals that the Gupter family said to be influencing the
president to get the deal signed by minister of finance.
In mail and guardian news the African National Congress
executive committee member and deputy minister of health joe phaahla implies that was using NPA
head shaun Abrahams and Hawks to fight
his battle an get rid of Gordhan. “This thing doesn’t have credibility. I have
no doubt in mind that somebody has put pressure on Abrahams. This is about
getting rid of Pravin” said Phaahla without mentioning Zuma or anyone else by
name. The former Anc treasurer general Mathews Phosa commented that Zuma but
not Gordhan should step down.
When the former NPA boss Mxolisi Nxasana was interviewd
by Times Live said that the charges against Gordhan had vindicated his view
that Abrahams “is not his own man but was manipulated by outside people when
taking crucial decisions”. Ever since Gordhan has become the minister of
finance he has achieved many thing and business people also trust him. The
economic was not doing well when he become the minister but things were getting
better through his leadership.
Some of the people within the Anc who want Gordhan out of
the government have accused the treasury of, under his leadership being against
the transformation of the economy and empowering of black people. The top six
of Anc call an urgent meeting to discuss
the future of the minister and to ask him to step down which surprise many
people as Jacob Zuma is always in news and also violet the constitution of the
court but he was never forced or pressured to step down as the president .
The supreme court of appeal upholds high court ruling
which set aside the decision of the former acting prosecution head Mokotedi
Mpshe to drops those 783 charges against Zuma he might be forced to step down
but Gordhan will still be in the office.
