Stop gambling with the future of this country
Strikes in South Africa have become way of
expressing anger and concern to the ruling government .In South Africa is a
norm that in order for government to listen to the concern of the society they
must be a violent strike. Public properties are destroyed almost every day in South
Africa by people who are striking.

The #Feesmustfall campaign was all over
the news in 2015 where universities student want 0% fee increase and free
education to all. Universities's building were burned down even other facilities
that was there. Many people supported the campaign except the burning part as
it left many people asking themselves where we are going as the country. In
September 2016 the university of Kwazulu Natal start burning the university
after the government announce that they don't know yet whether fees will
increase in 2017 or not. Violent strikes have turned out to be a norm in South
Africa and it will affect the developing process of this country.
The people of Vuwani in Limpopo has been
striking for months after the demarcation board announce that they will no
longer fall under Makhado municipality in Louis Trichardt . The Community
around Vuwani didn't have problem with that until they announced that they will
be under the new municipality called Collins Shabane in Malamulela, Limpopo.
The communities around Vuwani started striking and 25 schools were burned
during the strikes. Learners where stopped from going to write and they didn't
even wrote midyear examination. People where burning police car which shows
that strikes has turned out to be crimes.
People shows understand that
services delivery will not happen if they are busy burning school and universities.
South African should learn to stay away from school an let children learn. Many
adult use learners during the strike to commit crime which is wrong. Parents
should think about the future of their children before acting. Even student in
university must get mature and act responsible because the money that can
provide free education to all will be used to build up university buildings
that they are burning.
Everyone has a right to strike but
striking doesn't involved burning up public property or denying others the
right to learn. People should learn to strike responsible and protect the
property because after the strike they will need it. The Department of
Education is in crisis of money to fund #feesmustfall and 24 schools that
burned in Vuwani strike. It's surprising as in Vuwani the strike has got
nothing to do with education system but still school building were
demolished down .Striking is not violent , act and think
wisely before you strike and South Africa will be a better place.
